My sister Malaya Rucker-Oparabea, a dancer and storyteller, and her son, actor, producer and entrepreneur Lamman Rucker, have devoted their lives to their art. On Sunday, May 15, they talked about their relationship on an online radio program “Phenomenal Saging Mothers.”

Hello All,
I have a rooted relationship with the Rucker family. I was the family babysitter, in Pittsburgh, PA. I have been amazed by what this family has become. They are a template for all families. The world was given a blessing when he made this family. My life was changed, as soon as I met them. I was given the opportunity to understand what family is really about. I am proud of them all, “they are what the world needs now”
